Le deuxième album solo du pianiste hongrois Benedek Horváth avec Artalinna est sorti en septembre 2023 et a été accueilli avec enthousiasme par la critique. Le programme comprend des pièces pour piano solo de Leoš Janáček, Béla Bartók et György Kurtág.
En janvier 2023, parait également chez IAN Records Les Variations Goldberg de J.S. Bach aux formats stéréo et Dolby Atmos. Benedek, qui est lui-même photographe et vidéaste, a réalisé un court métrage intitulé "La quatrième voix" pour compléter l'enregistrement audio par des images. En juin 2023, Benedek s’est produit dans la grande salle de Bâle, au Stadt-Casino, où il a joué le troisième concerto pour piano de Bartók avec l'orchestre SMOS, un concert de bienfaisance pour les enfants atteints de cancer.

Les concerts de Benedek l'ont conduit dans plus de 20 pays. Parmi les temps forts, il compte une tournée en Chine, où il a donné plusieurs concerts à Pékin et à Shanghai. En 2017, il fait ses débuts au Merkin Hall de New York avec le 2e concerto de Liszt. Il se produit également dans les festivals les plus prestigieux de Suisse, le Gstadt Menuhin Festival et le Lucerne Festival.
En tant que soliste, Benedek a travaillé avec l'Orchestre symphonique de Bâle, l'Orchestre de chambre de Lausanne, l'Orchestre symphonique du Monténégro, la Real Filharmonia de Galicia et l’Orchestre symphonique de Szeged, entre autres.


Benedek a remporté le premier prix du concours Kiefer Hablitzel (Berne) et le prix de musique Rahn (Zurich). En 2016, il est lauréat du concours Clara Haskil, ainsi que du prestigieux concours international de piano Paloma O'Shea.
En 2018, Benedek reçoit le prix "Junior Prima" à Budapest. Il s'agit de l'un des prix les plus importants pour les jeunes artistes en Hongrie, et seuls quelques-uns sont récompensés chaque année.

Benedek ne se produit pas seulement en tant que soliste, il est aussi un chambriste passionné. Son CD avec le Trio Eclipse, "Spheres", a été publié par Prospero Classical en 2020 et comprend des œuvres de Gershwin, Nino Rota, Thomas Demenga et d'autres. Ils sont également lauréats du prestigieux concours international de musique de chambre d'Osaka et du concours Migros Kulturprozent. Parmi les autres temps forts de la musique de chambre, citons les concerts avec le quatuor à cordes Casals,et le Zakar Bron.


Depuis septembre 2021, Benedek est professeur assistant à l'Académie de musique de Bâle.
Il est titulaire d'un diplôme de soliste de l'Académie de musique de Bâle et a travaillé avec de nombreux artistes de renom, notamment András Schiff, Dimitri Bashkirov, Menahem Pressler, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Ferenc Rados et Zoltán Kocsis.

Since september 2021, Benedek Horvath has been an assistant professor at the Basel Music Academy.
Hungarian pianist, Benedek Horvath's second solo album with Artalinna was released in september 2023 and was enthusiastically received by the critics. The programme includes solo piano pieces by Leos Janacek, Bela Bartok and Gyorgy Kurtag. This is not the only recording to be released in 2023. In january, IAN RECORDS released Bach's Golberg Variations in stereo and Dolby Atmos Formats. Benedek, himself a photographer and videophotographer, made a short film to complement the audio with some visuals called "The fourth voice". The short film can be viewed on his website.

In june 2023, Benedek was happy to return to the great hall of Basel in the Stadt-Casino, where he played Bartok's 3rd piano concerto with the SMOS Orchestra. It was also a Benefit concert for children with cancer.

Benedek's concerts have taken him to more than 20 countries. One of the highlights was a tour of China, where is gave several concerts in Beijing and Shanghai. In 2017, he made his debuts at New York's Merkin Hall with Liszt's 2end concerto. He has also performed at the most prestigious festivals in Switzerland, the Gstadt Menuhin Festival and the Lucerne Festival.

As a soloist, Benedek has worked with the Basel Symphony orchestra, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, The Montenegro Symphony Orchestra, the Real Filhamonia de Gallicia and the Szeged Symphony Orchestra, among Others. Benedek is a first prize winner of the Kiefer Hablitzel Competition (BERN) and the Rahn Music Prize (Zurich). In 2016, he won the laureate Prize at the Klara Haskill Competition, as well as the prestigious Paloma O'Shea International Piano Competition.

In 2018, Benedek was also awarded the "Junior prima' prize in Budapest. This is one of the most important prizes for young artists in Hungary, and only a few was awarded it each year.

Benedek not only performs as a soloist, but he is also a passionate chamber musician. His CD with Trio Eclipse, "Spheres", was released by Prospero Classical in 2020 and features works by Gershwin, Nino Rota, Thomas Demenga and others. They are also prizewinners of the prestigious Internation Osaka Chamber Music Competition and the Migros Kulturprozent Competition. Other chamber music Hightlights include performances with the internationally renowned Casals String Quartet and Zakar Bron.

Benedek holds a soloist diploma from Basel Music Academy and has worked with many artists including András Schiff, Dimitri Bashkirov, Menahem Pressler, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Ferenc Rados et Zoltán Kocsis.
